Shari ruined my love life: Sumner’s gal pal
Shari Redstone, the controlling shareholder of Viacom and CBS, destroyed her dad’s plans to marry Sydney Holland, the former gal pal claims in a lawsuit filed Thursday.
Redstone worked with her dad’s nurses to spy on Holland, the suit alleges.
The spying included “listening in on Sydney’s and Redstone’s sex life” and “secretly taping conversations between her dad, media mogul Sumner Redstone, Holland and their lawyers,” the suit claims.
The battle for some of Sumner’s billions is getting testy.
Earlier this week, Holland sued the 93-year-old mogul after he filed suit against his former lover claiming she fleeced him out of millions.
Thursday’s suit is merely the latest chapter in a long-running Redstone family drama.
Shari, who with her dad controls a $44billion media empire, including Viacom and CBS, this month pulled the plug on a possible merger of the two companies. Shari forced the start of the talks in September.
Holland’s cross-complaint filed in a California state court also names several of SumnerRedstone’s nurses as defendants.
A raven-haired beauty, Holland alleges the nurses aided Shari in her attempts to kick Sydney out of Sumner’s $20 million Beverly Hills mansion.
The suit also attempts to ridicule Shari’s business acumen by rolling out old letters from her dad, who insisted the boards of Viacom and CBS — and not Shari — pick his successor.
“Redstone had promised to take care of Sydneyfor the rest of her life bymaking lifetime gifts and including her as a beneficiary of his estate plan,” the suit claims.
