He was scheming with my ex: lawsuit
A former model in a bruising custody battle with her billionaire baby daddy claims a Long Island shrink colluded with her ex to keep her away from her child.
Sidra Saucedo, who once strutted her stuff for Seven Jeans and Alberta Ferretti, had a daughter with propriety trader Steven Schonfeld in 2005.
The ex-lovers have been fighting for years over their daughter. Schonfeld last year succeeded in severing Saucedo’s contact with the 11-year-old girl after accusing the mom of sniffing inhalants — including a can of Dust-Off spray.
Saucedo, who has three kids by three fathers, continues to fight back in court. A judge issued a gag order barring the parties from discussing the custody case.
But in court papers filed last week in Manhattan Supreme Court, Saucedo takes aim at Manhasset psychologist Roger Pierangelo, claiming he “conspired” against her with her baby daddy.
The papers identify the father only as a wealthy “John Doe.” But Schonfeld’s role is made obvious by the fact that Saucedo’s new lawsuit, and a lawsuit filed by Schonfeld against Saucedo last year, both cite their Jan. 10, 2012, custody agreement.
Pierangelo was supposed to act as a “coordinator” between parents, helping them carry out their custody deal on how to raise their kid, Saucedo claims, but instead laid down more than a dozen strict guidelines for how Saucedo should interact with her child.
Pierangelo threatened to slap Saucedo with child-abuse charges if she disobeyed “Roger’s Rules,” the new suit alleges.
Saucedo told The Post the doctor “abuses authority.”
“I just don’t want this to happen to anyone else,” Saucedo said. She declined to answer questions about Schonfeld, citing the gag order.
Pierangelo was hired in 2011 at her ex’s suggestion, but Saucedo had no idea Pierangelo was his therapist, the suit claims.
Nannies monitored her visits and phone calls with her daughter, which were kept to sharp time limits. Pierangelo forbade her to sleep with her child and even regulated how many books she could read to the youngster at bedtime, according to court papers.
Pierangelo schemed in “limiting, impeding or eliminating entirely the child’s contact” with Saucedo, she charges.
Saucedo’s suit seeks unspecified damages.
Pierangelo, citing confidentiality laws, declined to comment. A lawyer for Schonfeld didn’t return messages.
