It’s an ugly di‘Porsche’

- By JULIA MARSH

A Rochester woman’s plan to mess with her exhusband’s prized collection of Porsches has her racing toward jail.

A judge issued an arrest warrant Tuesday for 65-yearold Joanne Campbell, accusing her of contempt for swiping the cars’ registrations in a petty move after the divorce and then refusing a court order to hand them over.

“She’s a very vindictive lady,” her ex, Thomas Campbell, 67, told The Post. “I think she escaped her punishment long enough.”

Joanne took the registrations from the seven cars — vintage Porsche 911s, 912s and 914s from the 1960s and ’70s — after the couple divorced in 2006.

She also took a trove of her ex-hubby’s photographs, including two of him with actor and race-car enthusiast Paul Newman, according to court records.

When Thomas realized they were missing, he went to court and got an order from a Monroe County judge to have them returned.

But Joanne, a retired state employee, has not yet handed them over.

In the meantime, Thomas, a former pro racing mechanic, had to pay $7,000 to get replacement documents, because he needed the vehicle identification numbers in order to get new registrations from the Department of Motor Vehicles. While VINs are easily accessible in most cars, they’re hidden inside old Porsches, which must be taken apart in an expensive procedure in order for the numbers to be retrieved.

On Tuesday, Monroe County Supreme Court Judge Richard Dollinger issued a warrant for Joanne’s arrest because of her recalcitrance.

He also ordered her to pay the $7,000 fee her husband racked up to replace the registrations and to pick up his $8,000 in legal fees. Hopefully, the judge said, the threat of arrest will “speed up the collection process.”

Thomas says he’s waiting to be paid before he gets the Porsches back on the road.

His ex-wife and her attorney did not return calls for comment.
