Manhattan

The suspect pictured above tried to rob a Hell’s Kitchen parking garage but fled empty-handed when an employee couldn’t open the safe, police said Tuesday.

Investigators said the suspect, armed with a gun and wearing a suit and tie, approached a 46-year-old female attendant at the Manhattan Plaza Parking facility on West 42nd Street near Ninth Avenue at about 8:30 a.m. Monday.

He demanded that she open a safe in a back room, but when she failed in her effort to do so, he fled on foot, cops said.

He was described as about 5-foot-10 with a medium build and was carrying a black backpack, officials said.

In addition to the navyblue suit, the would-be robber was wearing a white shirt, dark-colored tie, black shoes and a multicolored scarf, investigators said.

The suspected gunman who fatally shot a homeless man near Bryant Park amid an argument last month was arrested this week, cops said Tuesday.

Terrell Dupree, 38, killed Terrance Walker, 27, on Dec. 17 at about 2:20 a.m. at West 40th Street and Sixth Avenue, according to police.

The men had been arguing as they left a nearby subway station, cops said.

Carrying a warrant, the NYPD’s Violent Felony Squad entered Dupree’s Bronx home at about 4:30 p.m. Monday and apprehended him, according to police.

While in custody, Du- pree didn’t admit to shooting Walker but did make incriminating statements connecting him to the crime, police sources said.

Dupree was charged with murder and criminal possession of a loaded firearm, cops said.

A driver was shot in the shoulder as he and another motorist exchanged gunfire during a road-rage incident on the Lower East Side early Tuesday, authorities said.

At about 4:30 a.m., the 31-year-old victim exited the Babel NYC Lounge and Hookah Bar on Avenue C, got into his BMW and drove away.

Seconds later, he and a motorist driving an SUV got into a confrontation at Essex and Hester streets, cops said.

Witnesses said they saw the drivers in their vehicles shooting at each other, investigators said.

The BMW driver took a bullet to the shoulder but managed to drive himself to New York Presbyterian-Lower Manhattan Hospital, where he was treated for non-lifethreatening injuries.

The SUV driver sped away.

Police said the victim, who has a rap sheet listing 13 arrests, was being uncooperative with investigators.

Brooklyn

The suspect pictured above, whom police identify as 23-year-old Tedangelo Jerome, was allegedly behind the wheel of a car that fatally struck a 53year-old man in East New York early on New Year’s Day, authorities said.

Jerome was driving recklessly along South Conduit Boulevard when he plowed into the victim at Pine Street at about 5 a.m., officials said.

Jerome then lost control of his 2007 Lexus, crashed into several parked cars and a guardrail and then fled on foot, police said.

The victim, whose identity is being withheld pending family notification, suffered severe body trauma and was pronounced dead at Brookdale Hospital.

Police are searching for Jerome, who’s described as about 5-foot-10 and 215 pounds.
