Another Dem Distraction: Putin the Blame on Vlad

-

President Obama is a real comedian (“Bam’s Sudden Reset,” Editorial, Dec. 31).

He condemned Russia for “interfering in our election” when — if true — the e-mails simply revealed misconduct by Debbie Wasserman Schultz, John Podesta, Donna Brazile and Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

If these Democrats had behaved honorably, there would have been nothing to “interfere” with.

And, by the way, wasn’t it our president who tried to influence the Brexit vote, as well as the reelection of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu? Who is he to throw stones ary Layton Interlaken, NJ

The claim that Russia was behind the hacking of the Democratic National Committee and John Podesta’s e-mails hasn’t been irrefutably proven. Neither is the claim that the Russians influenced the presidential election.

Donald Trump is correct in applauding Vladimir Putin for the crafty move of not ejecting US embassy staff from Russia. James League Elmhurst

Suppose Clinton had won — does anyone honestly believe the Obama administration would raise the issue of Russian hacking? No way. They wouldn’t dare think of insulting Hillary.

But since they can’t come to grips with Trump’s victory, they have to convince themselves and the American people that he couldn’t have won without help from Putin.

Everything revolves around Hillary and her hurt feelings. Who can we blame for her historic loss? T.F. Crovatto Ramsey, NJ

Let’s review: When Russia went into Ukraine, Obama took swift action on his own and imposed harsh sanctions that have hurt Russia’s economy. Saying he waited too long to take action against Russia is a lie.

If Obama had taken action over the Russian hacking before Election Day, Trump, The Post, Fox News?and every RepubliG can would have cried about it. Rocco Pellone Manhattan

There hasn’t been much solid evidence that the Russian government was involved with influencing our elections.

Yet President Obama is desperate to make Russia a scapegoat for the failures of Clinton and the Democratic Party. What chutzpah. Michael Pravica Henderson, Nev.
