Vid shows EMT dancing while driving

A lame-brained emergency medical technician drove without his hands as he goofed around inside a city ambulance — and his partner was dumb enough to record the dangerous shenanigans.

The 25-second clip shows medic Eric Stone (right) bopping and singing to the rock band Bowling For Soup’s song “1985,” as his partner, Sebastian Vazquez, shrugs his shoulders and shakes his head in mock disgust.

“My partner for the evening is a f--king lunatic,” Vazquez, 21, a Fire Department EMT and “aspiring photographer” posted to Instagram under the handle thatdorkyemt.

As the ambulance barrels down the street, windshield wipers moving on an apparently rainy night, Stone, 22, takes his eyes off the road — and his hands off the steering wheel, the footage shows.

He then makes a “milking the cow” motion with his arms, while bouncing in his seat and mugging for the camera.

The video, was posted at around 9:30 p.m. Thursday to the Instagram site @firstrespondersofnyc, but yanked Friday morning.

Fellow medics were aghast at the duo’s behavior.

“These kids are stupid. It’s not 1985 anymore,” groused a fellow EMT. “There wasn’t social media [back then] and now the FDNY has a social-media policy. They aren’t even supposed to be taking photos in uniform and putting it on social media!”

Added a retired FDNY paramedic: “They should be fired.”

“Taking your hands off the wheel of a 6-ton ambulance puts people’s lives at risk. He’d rather ‘vogue’ for the camera than pay attention to the road,” the ex-paramedic said.

And at least two comrades warned about putting up the video.

“Bad idea posting this,” said belleroserescue.

“Be careful what you post,” ad- vised stewiedriving_45.

The EMTs are assigned to Battalion 55 in The Bronx, Stone’s shoulder patch shows.

Reached on Friday, Stone was still dancing — this time, around questions by The Post.

“Do I have to talk to you? I don’t want to talk to you right now — I’m at work,” a sinking Stone told The Post.

Vazquez, a Bronx native who resides in Yonkers, could not be reached for comment.

“Even if they weren’t assigned to a call, it’s troubling that they are in a moving ambulance,” the fellow EMT said. “To put this on social media is stupid. This is what they are hiring these days.”

The FDNY did not immediately comment.
