H’caust artist dies

Holocaust survivor and sculptor Alfred Tibor died Saturday in Columbus, Ohio. He was 97.

Tibor, born Alfred Goldstein in Hungary, spent part of World War II in forced labor before being captured by Russian troops and sent to a prisoner-of-war camp.

He came to the United States in 1957 and created sculptures, many of which commemorat­e the Holocaust.
