INNOCENTS WHO MET CRUEL FATE

-

American tourist Kurt Cochran, 54, became the first fatality of the London terror attack as he walked with his wife, Melissa Payne Cochran, 46, on Westminster Bridge.

He was struck by Khalid Masood’s Hyundai and thrown over a parapet onto a concrete landing about 20 feet below.

Cochran’s wife of 25 years was also struck by the car and left injured and bleeding on the bridge.

She became the face of the tragedy when her photograph appeared on the front pages of newspapers around the world, including The Post.

Melissa suffered a broken leg and rib in the bridge attack and was recovering at a local hospital.

The couple has two sons, Tyler, 31, and Dallas, 26.

They had visited Scotland, Ireland, and Germany on their European vacation before touching down in London.

Aysha Frade, 43, was the second victim to die on the bridge.

Frade, a British woman of Spanish descent, was on the way to pick up her young kids from school when chaos struck.

Frade, who taught Spanish at nearby DLD College London, ended up under the back wheel of a doubledecker bus.

She leaves behind daughters ages 8 and 11.

Frade was born in Britain and grew up in Notting Hill, but her family is from Betanzos in Spain.

Relative John Frade told the London Evening Standard that the life of Frade’s husband hass “completely fallen apart.” .”

Police Constable Keith Palmer, 48, was attacked after Masood crashed his vehicle into the gates of the Houses of Parliament.

The killer plunged two knives into Palmer on the famed building’s grounds in the shadow of Big Ben.

Palmer, a 15-year police veteran, died at the scene, despite the heroic efforts of New York City-born Member of the British Parliament Tobias Ellwood.

The slain cop, who was part of the parliamentary protection force, leaves behind a wife and a 5-year-old daughter.

Prime Minister Theresa May called Palmer “every inch a hero.”ero.”

Romanian tourist Andreea Cristea, 29, plunged into the river as Masood sped through.

It’s unclear if Cristea, an architect, was propelled into the water or jumped to get out of harm’s way.

She was plucked out alive with serious injuries.

Cristea was in London with fiancé Andrei Burnaz, celebrating his birthday, and they were walking toward the London Eye Ferris wheel at the time of the attack. Burnaz suffered minor injuries. Romanian Ambassador Dan Mihalache said Cristea sustained serious head injuries and damaged lungs.
