School was mum on gun scare

A 6-year-old brought a gun to a California elementary school, but parents of other students didn’t learn about it for nearly two weeks, authorities said Saturday.

Spring break interrupted the investigation, law-enforcement sources said.

The Cucamonga School District superintendent wasn’t told until Monday, and parents were not informed until Thursday.
