Weight sets goalie hierarchy

- By BRETT CYRGALIS

Doug Weight is determined not to allow this to become a distraction yet again.

The Islanders interim head coach did his best to clarify and squash any chance of the fact they are carrying three goalies again becoming an issue before his team lost a huge 2-1 game to the Bruins on Saturday night at Barclays Center.

“It’s not an issue,” Weight said before starter Thomas Greiss allowed two goals on 18 shots. “There’s two nets, and there will be two goalies at practice. If there is another guy out there, it’s only when those guys want to get out of the net, whoever is playing the next game. It’s going to be a little different than it was earlier in the year. I’ll deal with that internally, but it’s not going to be an issue.”
