Fan fears nixed tix by team

- By MARC BERMAN

Mike Hamersky, the Knicks fan who was cursed out by owner James Dolan after Hamersky told him to sell the team, has contacted the NBA about the wild incident.

However, Hamersky told The Post he won’t go through with filing a formal complaint as long as he’s assured he won’t have his season-ticket account suspended by the Knicks owner.

“I am concerned they will suspend my account,’’ Hamersky told The Post.

Dolan tried to ban the fan from the Garden before Tuesday’s game after Hamersky saw Dolan outside the arena and yelled, “Sell the team, Jim.’’ Dolan got into his face and repeatedly called him “an a-hole’’ for his taunt.

Hamersky, a 35-year-old attorney, is in his second season as a partial seasonticket holder. Asked why he still wants to renew, Hamersky said, “I love the Knicks. I look forward to the games — the highlight of my week. I circle the games I have. I love the experience, as terrible as it’s been. I still want to support the team.”

Hamersky was not in attendance for Thursday’s home game against the Wizards. He said he donated his tickets to a pediatric cancer charity two weeks ago, before his confrontation with Dolan and the subsequent media coverage.

“I like to help people in need whenever possible,’’ Hamersky said.

As a partial plan holder, he doesn’t have tickets for the final two home games Sunday and Wednesday. He hopes Dolan won’t block him from renewing his seats for next season.

Hamersky sits in 100level in the corner — baseline extended, not far from Dolan’s courtside seat. The deadline to renew is April 11 to keep the same location. Hamersky said he’s “happy with the seats and feels he gets “a bang for my buck’’ at $150 per ticket, and plans to meet the deadline — unless Dolan stops it.

The Garden declined to say if Hamersky could be suspended from his season-ticket account. In a statement, a Dolan spokesman said fans don’t have the right to be “abusive or disrespectful.’’

“I did call him an a-hole,” Dolan told Deadspin, “because he is an a-hole.”

Hamersky said Dolan got into his face and said, “What if I told you, ‘You suck at your job?’ Or, ‘How do you like losing that [law] case?’”

Dolan also accused the fan, who was drinking a beer, of being intoxicated — which Hamersky denied. Dolan demanded Hamersky show him his tickets, and he declined. Hamersky said he was shadowed by a security man thereafter, but shook him and eventually got into the game.

The NBA has not commented on the incident.
