Harlem sex attack
Tourist knocked out and violated
A German tourist walking to her Airbnb rental in Harlem was attacked by a mugger who knocked her teeth out — and then sexually assaulted her while she was unconscious, police said Friday.
“You’re going to give me your bag. I have a gun,” the creep said before shoving the 31-year-old woman against a wall and grabbing her purse on West 146th Street at around 2:50 a.m. Thursday, according to police sources.
The woman had just left the subway at West 145th Street and was walking toward Seventh Avenue in search of her Airbnb apartment when she was attacked. She had attended a seminar at John Jay College hours earlier and gone to O’Reilly’s Pub in Midtown.
Surveillance video released by cops shows the man holding her to the wall and grabbing her bag, which held her passport, laptop and cellphone.
When she tries to pull it back, he slugs her in the face, knocking her down. He hits her face at least three more times.
He ran away but returned and sexually assaulted her, sources said
A bystander called 911 after seeing her on the street.
“Where am I? I lost my stuff. I can’t remember anything. Please help me!” the victim said, according to sources
The woman suffered severe facial injuries.
“She lost teeth. He beat her bad,” a source said.
The man fled east on 146th Street with the bag, cops said.
The woman, who also suffered a possible concussion, was in stable condition at Harlem Hospital Friday.
Locals said the area around Jackie Robinson Park has been plagued with crime.
“It’s scary,” one resident said. “They need to catch that guy before he kills someone.”
Airbnb said it was “out- raged” by the brutal attack.
“Our team is actively working to support her and is assisting the NYPD with their investigation,” the company said in a statement. “We hope this criminal is brought to justice as soon as possible.”
