HUNTING TERROR IN MANCHESTER

- By DAVID K. LI

British anti-terror cops on Sunday arrested two more suspects in connection to the Manchester bombing, bringing the total detained to 13, officials said.

A 25-year-old man was picked up in Manchester’s Moss Side district, while a 19-year-old was nabbed in the Gorton neighborhood, police said.

All the suspects are men between 18 and 44.

Residents of Moss Side said they heard explosions when cops swarmed their neighborhood.

One door appeared to be damaged by an explosion and residents posted a sign: “This is what the police has caused and we have nothing to do with what happened in the bombing attack.”

Cops have been scrambling to find anyone who might have helped bomber Salman Abedi, who killed 22 people, including children, in Monday’s blast at an Ariana Grande concert.

British officials fear Abedi’s potential conspir- ators could be planning another attack.

“The operation is still at full tilt,” Home Secretary Amber Rudd said. “Until the operation is complete, we can’t be entirely sure that it is closed.”

Thousands of people flooded the streets of Manchester on Sunday for the Great Manchester Run, the first major event to take place in the city since the bombing.

Police with machine guns guarded the course. Signs reading, “I ♥ Manchester,” dotted the city.

Manchester native Peter Hook — a member of the ’80s pop band New Order — was one of the runners.

“I’ve always had a pride in this city, ever since I was born,” said Hook. “They picked the wrong people to mess with this time.”

Monday’s attack on such young victims stunned the world. Pope Francis told worshippers in St. Peter’s Square to pray for those families of “so many young lives [who] were cruelly broken.”
