Hunt for bomber’s suitcase

British authorities on Monday released this photo of Manchester suicide bomber Salman Abedi hauling a bright-blue suitcase on the day of last week’s terror attack, and are asking anyone who may have seen him with it to come forward — and to stay away from it if they spot it.

“We believe Abedi was in possession of this case in the days before the attack at Manchester Arena,” Detective Chief Superin- tendent Russ Jackson said.

He added that the suitcase was not used during the May 22 attack, which killed 22 people after an Ariana Grande concert.

“We have no reason to believe the case and its contents contain anything dangerous, but would ask people to be cautious,” Jackson added.

The image of Abedi and the suitcase was taken from CCTV in Manchester’s city center on May 22, according to authorities.

Police are still conducting raids and making more arrests as they try to piece together Abedi’s final movements in the days before the terror attack.

There are currently 14 suspects in police custody in connection with the bombing, including a 23year-old “trainee pilot” who was arrested early Monday in Shoreham-by-Sea, Sussex, British media reported.
