Call ’em Mr. & Mrs. Robot

“SHAMELESS” star Emmy Rossum married “Mr. Robot” creator Sam Esmail in New York on Sunday at Central Synagogue at Lexignton Avenue and East 55th Street, followed by a lavish reception at the Guggenheim. Rossum wore an off-the-shoulder custom Carolina Herrera gown and a long white veil for the ceremony in front of guests including Robert Downey Jr., Christian Slater, William H. Macy and Hilary Swank. The happy couple emerged from the synagogue around 7 p.m. and were greeted by cheering crowds as they descended stairs decorated with roses. Esmail, 39, proposed to Rossum, 30, after two years of dating. He had directed her in the 2014 romantic comedy “Comet,” which also starred Justin Long. Rossum had earlier told E! that she was far from a bridezilla, saying, “I don’t really care what the dress looks like, I don’t really care what the plates look like. I don’t really care what the invitation looks like . . . The only thing that’s really important to me is that we get married and there’s some kind of party.”
