Ex-Knicks coach Fisher charged with DUI

- By LINDA MASSARELLA

Fired New York Knicks coach Derek Fisher was busted for DUI Sunday after he ended a night on the town in Los Angeles by flipping his Cadillac.

The former Los Angeles Laker guard had his girlfriend, “Basketball Wives” reality star Gloria Govan, in the passenger seat when he veered onto the shoulder on a highway in Sherman Oaks at 3 a.m. and plowed into a metal guardrail, the California Highway Patrol said.

The car then turned over, skidded into the middle of the highway, and came to a stop upside down, police said.

Despite the violence of the roll-over crash, no one was hurt.

The 42-year-old Fisher had been seen partying at West Hollywood hot spot Catch a few hours before the accident, according to TMZ.

Responding officers found that Fisher appeared to be drunk and placed him under arrest, officials said. Authorities haven’t released details of his blood-alcohol level. The ex-baller offered no resistance, cops said.

A rep for Fisher didn’t immediately return calls seeking comment.

Fisher lasted for less than two miserable seasons at the helm of the Knicks.

After going 17-65 in the 20142015 NBA season, he was fired during the 2015-2016 season while the squad was at 23-31.

The most notable event of his short tenure at Madison Square Garden came off the court, when he was roughed up in October 2015 by Govan’s then-estranged husband, NBA bad boy Matt Barnes, now a backup forward on the Golden State Warriors.

Barnes drove 95 miles to “beat the s--t out of ” Fisher after learning that the coach was at his home romancing Govan while he was away on the road playing for the Memphis Grizzlies.

After the fight, Barnes texted a friend, “I kicked his ass from the back yard to the front room, and spit in her [Govan’s] face.”

A source in Fisher’s camp told The Post the fight wasn’t as bad as Barnes claimed, and no charges were filed.

Nevertheless, the pair continued to beef on Instagram, with Barnes posting a mocking comment describing Fisher as “running around my house screaming & pleading.”

That comment came about a month before Fisher’s February 2016 firing.

Fisher’s post-Knicks life has been equally trouble-plagued.

In January, he told cops his home was robbed of more than $300,000 in jewelry, including his five NBA championship rings, won with the LA Lakers.

Fisher, who played 18 seasons in the NBA, the majority with the Lakers, has been working as a sports commentator for TNT and Spectrum Sports this year.
