Ex tried to ‘extort’ A-Rod

AFTER the National Enquirer published a report claiming that Alex Rodriguez sexted with a fitness model during his relationship with Jen

nifer Lopez, claims surfaced that the so-called “other woman” was trying to extort the former Yankee slugger.

In the story published on Wednesday, the weekly quotes extensively from what they say are racy text messages between Rodriguez and Lauren Hunter, which included naked pictures of her.

The magazine further claims that Rodriguez tried to arrange a meet-up with Hunter during a recent work trip.

Hunter, who says she met the baseball star in a Miami gym, also gave an interview to the Enquirer discussing A-Rod’s supposed sexual prowess, saying he was “good in bed” and, ahem, physically gifted.

But a source with knowledge of the situ- ation told Page Six that the former Yankee hasn’t had a relationship with Hunter for years — and alleged that she came forward with the story to try to squeeze Rodriguez for cash.

“Alex had met this girl years ago, and they may have had a brief [romantic] interlude,” said an insider, “But then she started asking him for money, and he wasn’t having any of that.”

The report comes three months into Rodriguez’s romance with Lopez. The stars have been inseparable ever since Page Six first revealed their romance in March. Things are going so well that they regularly spend time together with all of their kids, his daughters Natasha and

Ella and Lopez’s twins Max and Emme. In the Enquirer piece, Hunter claims that Rodriguez asked her to travel to Kansas City on May 17, where he was visiting to cover the Yankees versus Royals game as an analyst for Fox. But she claimed she couldn’t get to there because she didn’t have child care for her three kids.

The source also alleged that Hunter cooked up the scheme because she needs cash to be independent from NFL Hall of Famer Marcus Allen, with whom she has one child.

TMZ reported that Hunter was asking for as much as $600,000 from Rodriguez, threatening to expose “private messages.” They reported that he was preparing for a “legal war” with Hunter.

“Alex said, ‘No way.’ If she was extorting him by threatening to go to the press, she didn’t do a very good job,” added the source, “This is crazy. He didn’t cheat on J.Lo with this woman.”

Meanwhile, the story doesn’t seem to have ended Rodriguez and Lopez’s fling: The high-flying pair were spotted boarding a plane together in Miami. They are headed to Las Vegas for her show, where they are expected to spend the weekend together.

Hunter couldn’t be reached on Wednesday.
