A REHAB MULLIGAN FOR TIGER

‘DUI’ puts focus back on Rx addiction

Tiger Woods — faced with the prospect of losing joint custody of his kids over his DUI bust — is headed back to rehab, a new report says.

The addled golf great will be treated for an addiction to prescription pills, according to Radar Online.

Woods recently signed on for 28 days of treatment at the Jupiter Medical Center near his Florida home — reserving “the entire male inpatient unit” for his stay, the report said.

“Tiger visited the hospital with his children on June 2, then went alone two days later to complete paperwork and his assessment,” a source told the gossip Web site.

The move comes two weeks after Woods, 41, was found dozing behind the wheel of his banged-up Mercedes in Florida.

An incoherent Woods admitted to cops that he had taken Xanax earlier in the night and also was on Vicodin.

Humiliating cop-car dash-cam video showed the fallen star barely able to keep his eyes open or walk. At one point, he told cops he thought he was in California.

Woods’ ex, Elin Nordegren, has made it clear that she’s set to try to pull the plug on their custody agreement — which currently gives the golf star about 20 per- cent of the week with daughter Sam, 9, and son Charlie, 8 — if he doesn’t shape up, sources told Radar.

“Elin wants Tiger to get professional help before the kids spend a single night alone with him again,’’ a source said. “God forbid they’re in the car when he’s drugged up!”

Woods has battled back pain for years and previously underwent rehab in Arizona in 2010 for an addiction to Vicodin and Ambien.

He also has been treated for a sex addiction after being exposed as a serial extramarital cheater in 2009, causing his goody-goody image — as well as his marriage to former Swedish model Nordegren — to implode.

Just days before his DUI bust, Woods posted what seemed like a heartening update on his physical health amid his years-long slump on the greens.

“It has been just over a month since I underwent fusion surgery on my back, and it is hard to express how much better I feel,’’ Woods wrote. “I haven’t felt this good in years.”

Woods — who dated Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn after his divorce — won 14 major championships between 1997 and 2008. He hasn’t won any since.

His rep did not return requests for comment Monday.
