Store fire chases locals
A fire that destroyed a New Jersey business spread to a nearby apartment building, displacing 18 residents, according to authorities.
No injuries were reported in the blaze that broke out late Friday morning in Paterson.
The fire started in a liquor store on Lyon Street and eventually spread to the attic of the apartment building on River Street, officials said.
It took nearly four hours for dozens of firefighters to bring the blazes under control.
The displaced residents were receiving assistance from the American Red Cross.
