Defund terror
Paying blood money to imprisoned terrorists and the families of fallen martyrs whose murderous deeds are openly praised by a large swath of Palestinian society is indeed disheartening, but using American funding to do so is simply incomprehensible (“Blood on the Checks,” PostOpinion, Jonathan S. Tobin, June 15).
The Trump administration would be well-served to recognize a reality that few wish to acknowledge: The Palestinian leadership, in spite of its empty pronouncements, cannot agree to the presence of a Jewish state. Our government’s checks should go elsewhere. Sheldon P. Hersh, Lawrence
