Iran deal cruelty

Nothing in the latest reports of Iran-deal dirt tops the humanitarian catastrophe President Barack Obama and German Chancellor Angela Merkel allowed in Syria and Libya to get the deal in the first place (“More Iran-Deal Dirt,” Editorial, June 12).

They turned their backs on 3.5 million Syrians and watched the creation of another million victims in Aleppo after the deal was done. Over 4 million Syrians remain displaced because of the conflict. Joanne Zervos, Manhattan
