Bobby ‘sue’-Flay steamed over 19G sofa

-

A $19,000 custom couch did not cut the mustard for celebrity chef Bobby Flay, according to a new lawsuit.

The restaurateur and TV host is suing furniture designer Jamie Stern because a leather sectional he bought from the company is so “intolerably uncomfort- able” that it is “useless,” according to a complaint filed earlier this month.

Flay special-ordered the couch and paid $19,046 when the company delivered it in February 2016, the suit states. But the seat was a pain in the rear and Jamie Stern refused to repair or replace it after “numerous complaints” to the company, the suit, filed in Manhattan Supreme Court, claims.

“The sofa breached implied warranty, because it could not be used for the ordinary purpose for which a sofa is used,” the papers state.

Now Flay wants the company to cough up double the sofa’s price tag — plus interest, the complaint states.

Flay, his attorney, and Jamie Stern Designs did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
