Sentencing in cancer lie

-

A Connecticut woman who lied about having cancer to avoid reporting to prison on a fraud conviction is facing sentencing.

Aliyah Davis, 37, of East Windsor, is scheduled to be sentenced Monday in federal court in New Haven.

Davis was sentenced to more than four years in prison in December 2014 for a scheme that defrauded Mass Mutual, but lied about having cancer to get her prison date postponed.
