Banksy unveiled?

Music star may really be the famous, but mysterious, artist

- By HARDEEP PHULL

H AS guerrilla artist Banksy finally had his cover blown?

The mysterious street painter appeared to be accidentally named in a podcast conversation between British musicians Goldie and Scroobius Pip this week. During the conversation, Goldie was lamenting on the art world’s rush to cash in on Banksy’s work and blurted out, “No disrespect to Robert, I think he is a brilliant artist. I think he has flipped the world of art over.”

There are a lot of people named “Robert” in the world, but it can’t be a coincidence that Goldie’s buddy Robert “3D” Del Naja, of trip-hop group Massive Attack, is already strongly rumored to be Banksy.

In 2016, British journalism student Craig Williams traced the appearance of Banksy’s art across the world and linked them to specific Massive Attack shows and events happening in the same area around the same time. Del Naja responded by telling the UK’s Daily Mail that Banksy is a friend of his.

Here’s what we know about Del Naja. Del Naja is an artist himself

Before turning to music fulltime, Del Naja was known primarily as a graffiti artist. Stencil art, in particular, was a favorite medium,

which Banksy is also known for. Del Naja continues to produce art despite being colorblind, and claiming to not really know what his artwork actually looks like. TV and film love Massive Attack’s music

If you’ve seen any kind of moody thriller during the last 25 years, there’s a good chance you’ve heard Massive Attack’s music without even knowing it. The band’s work has been in movies as varied as 1993’s “Sliver” (which featured “Unfinished Sympathy”) and 1999’s “The Matrix” (“Dissolved Girl”). The band’s track “Teardrop” was the theme song of the medical drama “House,” starring Hugh Laurie.
