Carrey pulls $uit demand

Jim Carrey has dropped demands that the mother of his late ex-girlfriend fork over $372,000 in case she loses her lawsuit against him.

The mom of Cathriona White has long blamed Carrey for her daughter’s 2015 suicide and filed a California suit against him, claiming that he gave White sexually transmitted diseases, adding to her despondency.

Carrey has said Brigid Sweetman’s claims are baseless, and his lawyers had filed a demand that she pay the sum to the court — to be held and possibly paid to the actor if she loses the suit, according to legal papers cited by the Daily Mail.

Carrey has withdrawn the demand and agreed to meet with Sweetman in hopes of settling the suit before it reaches trial, the Mail reported.

White, a makeup artist and stylist from Ireland, was Carrey’s onagain, off-again gal pal from 2012 to 2015. She overdosed on prescription pills on Sept. 28, 2015.
