‘Bro’ grabs journos’ .coms
Martin Shkreli announced on Facebook Tuesday that he has bought Web site URLs in the names of two female journalists, including a Post reporter, and is demanding $12,000 for the domains — 1,000 times more than what he paid.
Targeted are Emily Saul, the Post reporter covering Shkreli’s trial on Ponzi-scheme charges, and CNBC’s Meg Tirrell, who covers the pharmaceutical industry.
Records show Shkreli — best known for hiking up the price of an AIDS drug 5,000 percent when he ran Turing Pharmaceuticals — registered EmilySaul.com back in February and MegTirrell.com in April. Shkreli was booted off Twitter in January for the “harassment” of another female journalist.
