Conforto rests his bruised left hand
MIAMI — Michael Conforto’s left hand was still a concern for the Mets on Tuesday.
The outfielder was scheduled for an examination by a doctor before Tuesday’s game at Marlins Park due to residual soreness in the hand, after he was drilled on Sunday in San Francisco.
“It’s just bruised and I think they want me to take it easy for now,” Conforto said. “It’s a little bit sore, a little bit bruised and they are going to have the doctor here to take a look at it. But for now they don’t want me swinging. I was hoping I would be able to swing today.”
