Rosario banged up, and still in Triple-A

While the Amed Rosario watch continues in Queens, the Mets’ top prospect was held out of Triple-A Las Vegas’ lineup for a second straight game Wednesday due to a bruised right index finger suffered when he was jammed during an atbat earlier in the week.

The injury isn’t considered serious and Rosario, 21, isn’t expected to miss much time.

The Mets’ top prospect, who will almost certainly be called up soon after the July 31 non-waiver trade deadline, has an .841 OPS in 394 plate appearances with Las Vegas.

Jose Reyes got another start at short during the Mets’ 7-3 win over the Cardinals, and after he made two bad throws in Tuesday’s loss, looked significantly better in the field Wednesday.

Reyes also had two hits, including a two-run single in the second. But even with Rosario’s injury, it seems only a matter of time before the youngster is summoned to Citi Field as the Mets look to the future.

➤ Neil Walker is hopeful he will be able to return from the torn hamstring that has kept him out for a month by the time the Mets get to the West Coast next week. He is slated to have a rehab stint with Las Vegas this weekend.

“His running has been great,” manager Terry Collins said of Walker, who has gone through running drills three straight days — along with batting practice and taking grounders at second — and reported no problems. “It’s time to get him in some games.”

Reed recorded a save of four or more outs for the fourth time this season. He has converted 10 straight save chances and 16-of-18 overall. … Lucas Duda, who went 1-for-3, is 7-for-19 with three doubles, two homers and five RBIs since the All-Star break.

➤ Travis d’Arnaud hasn’t hit well anywhere this season, but he has been especially bad at home. Even after going 2-for-4 Wednesday, he is just 17-for-86 (.198) at Citi Field, with five doubles and an OPS of .514 in 93 plate appearances. On the road, he is 24-for-105 with four doubles, a triple and all nine of his homers, with an OPS of .914.
