FORMER veep Joe Biden and wife Jill Biden saw Broadway hit “Dear Evan Hansen” over the weekend and ran into Amy Schumer backstage. Biden greeted all the stars of the show, and made sure to shake hands with its understudies, joking: “I know what it’s like to be the understudy — I was one for eight years!” Earlier in the day, the Bidens had brunch at Tavern on the Green. “He chatted with an 88-yearold diner and said she looked beautiful, which made her day,” said a spy. “Her son picked up the Bidens’ check and wrote him a thank-you note.” Jill was in town to be interviewed by Katie Couric for Saturday’s Ozy Fest.
