Claims boss-daughter sex harass
A film producer who was directing a romantic comedy starring “Game of Thrones” actress Sophie Turner instead found himself in a twisted “Fatal Attraction” scenario with his wealthy boss’ daughter, a new lawsuit charges.
Producer Keith Wright partnered with Chinese investor Sean Liao earlier this year to make the film “Time Freak,” which is set to premiere at the Toronto Film Festival in September.
The investor had also hired Wright to set up a company called GTM Pictures and agreed to commit $10 million to produce three feature films.
But the money man’s daughter Wendy Liao — who was also working on the romantic comedy — started hitting on Wright, according to his Manhattan Supreme Court suit.
“She consistently asked Mr. Wright out for lunch and dinner,” the sexualharassment suit says, and also bought or tried to buy Wright gifts.
When Wright, 33, rebuffed the advances and returned the gifts, Liao, 32, allegedly began making “increasingly inappropriate comments.”
Liao also started stalking Wright on social media and even showed up drunk in the lobby of his building, the suit says.
Then she allegedly went nuclear in May — sending ominous e-mails with threats like “you will die” and “you have to be killed,” according to court papers.
Shortly after Wright reported her to police, the Liaos cut off all communication and fired him, the suit says. The daughter is facing charges of aggravated harassment.
Reached at her father’s Manhattan production company, she called the allegations “bulls--t.”
Wright is suing Wendy and Sean Liao and their companies GTM International and Beach Pictures for unspecified emotional damages. Wright says he’s also owed 15 percent of profits for “Time Freak.”
His lawyer, Kevin Mintzer, said the Liaos will have to pay for subjecting his client to “disturbing and illegal behavior.”
