‘Infamous’ flack comes back
AARON Carter’s latest meltdown has been made all the more wild by the mysterious return of a publicist famous for wreaking havoc on Hollywood — under a new name.
Celebrity journalists had long been familiar with Jonathan Jaxson as the colorful flack who was sued by both Kim Kardashian and Perez
Hilton, and who represented — and then publicly fell out with — Kim Zolciak and admitted to engineering the leak of client Adrienne Bai
lon’s nude pictures as a p.r. stunt. But Jaxson is back, sources say, this time as both “Jon Lewandowsky” and “Jonathan Ward.”
We’re told journalists became confused when reps began calling them from the same number, introducing themselves as either Lewandowsky or Ward. And then word began circulating on newsdesks around town that Lewandowsky/ Ward was none other than the memorable Jaxson.
After Carter’s July arrest for DUI, as well as the breakup of his relationship and his coming out as bisexual in August, statements were given to outlets including USA Today and People that were attributed to “Carter’s publicist Jonathan Ward.” To make matters more confusing, Ward then sued Carter when their short-lived business relationship ended, and reports on TMZ said that Carter was being sued by his publicist Jon Lewandowski. Reached for comment, Jaxson/Ward/Lewandowski told Page Six that “Jaxson” was a stage name he used early in his career, and that Lewandowski is his legal name and Lewandowski-Ward is his married name. (He says he wed this summer.) He told us, “It wasn’t until Aaron Carter begged me to stay on as a publicist and go under my original name that it was ever resurfaced.”
Blogger Hilton sued Jaxson for defamation and harassment, among other things, in 2008 after their online sex chats were leaked to Page Six. (The two later settled). And in 2012, Kardashian — whom Jaxson represented early in her career — sued him for claiming on TV that her marriage to Kris Humphries was a sham. (They also settled and Jaxson publicly apologized.)
A rep for Carter declined to comment.
