Queens condo manager’s dictator decor

Looks as if there’s more than one dictator in this building.

A Queens condo-board and property manager has plastered images of Hitler and Mussolini in the building’s lobby, according to his neighbors — who say they’re sick of living next to history’s greatest monsters but are too afraid of him to speak out.

“I open my door and these two. Heil Hitler!” said an elderly Greek lady on the first floor of the building, who was too afraid of retribution to give her name. “They brought war to my country.”

Two finger-pointing Uncle Sam statues flank the door of the building at 47-55 39th Place in Sunnyside, while inside, the lobby is filled with an eccentric hodgepodge of hyper-patriotic posters supporting the NRA and President Trump, alongside one of Martin Luther King and a 9/11 mural.

The banner documenting the two sides in World War II — which features Hitler in front of a Nazi flag — is the latest addition, tenants say.

Meanwhile, the building’s directory is littered with made-up names — including those of Nazis Rudolf Hess and Josef Mengele.

Tenants say it’s all the work of resident, board manager and property manager Neal Milano, who they claim rules the property with an iron fist and uses the posters, security cameras and arbitrary fines to keep the rest of the building in fear.

“Everyone in that building is afraid,” said Lynn Calvacca, who owns two condos in the building and is suing Milano over a financial dispute. “When you have somebody who’s a large man, boisterous, loud — he pretty much convinces or scares anyone he’s with to get his way.”

Milano was out of the country on vacation Tuesday, but his lawyer said the posters are just patriotic and historical — and that critics should run for the board if they want them gone.

“The murals were put up with the approval of the board of managers,” said attorney Jacob Laufer, although he wouldn’t provide the names of any other members of the board.

“[Critics] can run for the board and if they succeed in becoming members of the board then they can, I guess, do otherwise.”

But another owner said she doesn’t see anything patriotic in the images — just an attempt to intimidate the many immigrants who live in the building.

“That’s not patriotism,” said the woman, who was also too afraid to give her name. “He does it to sock it to the Muslims and the foreigners. Who wants to come into the building and see all that nonsense?”

Laufer says his client is not responsible for the bizarre building directory — saying it was likely the work of someone in the area who has been posting bogus NYPD flyers around saying his client is a registered sex offender.

Milano isn’t on the sex-offender registry, but there have been three formal harassment complaints against him from residents in recent years, according to police records — including one guy who says he got a condo association letter with a note attached that said: “Read it, scumbag.”
