Legal Aid ‘perv’ needs legal aid
A Legal Aid lawyer appeared before a judge in Manhattan court this week — only this time, he was the defendant.
Anton Ditchev, a 34year-old Brooklyn Law School grad, is accused of launching into a lewd rampage that included groping two female strangers and slugging another in the face.
Ditchev was in front of the Marriott’s Fairfield Inn & Suites at 330 W. 40th St. at about 8:40 p.m. Sunday when he put his hand on a woman’s backside, according to court papers. His wife was with him at the time.
Witness Jamilya Gillin told The Post on Wednesday, “We were leaving the Sky Room [bar], and as we were walking, I hear my friend yell to [Ditchev], ‘Excuse me, you just touched my butt!’ ”
She said that when her outraged pal confronted him, his wife Celena Ditchev jumped in, shouting, “That’s my man! Whatever you have to say, you can say it to me!”
The altercation quickly devolved into an all-out brawl, Gillin said.
“Everyone was hitting everyone. [Ditchev’s wife] had my friend’s hair, so my friend had [her] hair,” Gillin recalled, adding that Ditchev also grabbed her by the hair and slapped her butt while slugging a second pal in the face.
Cops arrested Ditchev. The lawyer was arraigned Monday on six counts of forcible touching, assault, sex abuse and harassment in Manhattan Criminal Court. He was released without bail.
“I wouldn’t like to respond,” he said by phone.
A spokeswoman for The Legal Aid Society said, “We believe that Anton is absolutely innocent.”
