Scandals of the summer
ANTHONY Scaramucci. At the same time that the Mooch’s infamously brief career as White House communications director was dramatically unraveling, so was his marriage. Scaramucci’s pregnant wife, Deidre
Ball, filed for divorce in July.
Tiger Woods. Just when scandal-plagued Tiger thought he was out of the woods — he was dragged back into more drama when a nude photo he sent to his ex, skier Lindsey
Vonn, was allegedly stolen from her phone, then leaked online, along with nude photos of Vonn. The two threatened legal action.
Jason Miller and AJ Delgado. What happened in Vegas definitely did not stay in Vegas. Last year, Page Six reported that aides to
Trump, including Miller and Delgado, partied at a Sin City strip club while in town for a debate. Delgado, who says they were dating for several months, gave birth to a son by married former White House Communications Director Miller in July. Miller says his openminded wife has welcomed the new child.
R. Kelly. The controversial crooner was accused by a woman’s parents of holding six women in a supposed sex cult and controlling their lives. Kelly’s lawyer shot back that the singer “unequivocally denies” the allegations. But three of his former associates supported the claims, saying the Svengali singer dictates what the women “eat, how they dress, when they bathe, when they sleep and how they engage in sexual encounters that he records.”
Melanie “Mel B” Brown. The former Spice Girl and current “America’s Got Talent” judge has been embroiled in the divorce from hell from Stephen Belafonte. In the latest twist, the couple’s former nanny Lorraine Gilles — whomMelaccusedofhaving an affair with Belafonte and getting pregnant — is suing Mel for defamation and says the popstar and Belafonte lured her into threesomes when she was 19.
Joss Whedon. The fanboy-revered “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” creator was verbally stabbed by his ex-wife, Kai Cole. She alleged on a Hollywood blog that Whedon cheated on her throughout their 16-year marriage. She revealed that Whedon had inappropriate relationships with “actresses, co-workers, fans and friends,” and branded him a “hypocrite preaching feminist ideals.” WINNER: R. Kelly (left). “Trapped in the Closet” has taken on a very different meaning.
