Holding court

Whitney Schott, 22, who works in sales, dons a casual off-the-shoulder top, white shorts and espadrilles for a look she calls “preppy, maybe ‘ tennis chic.’ ” As for the bestdressed players she’s seen on the court? That would be Agnieszka Radwańska and Maria Sharapova.

Game on

“It’s a little chilly in New York, so I wanted something that was a little transitional,” says Mia Klein, 27, of her “functionally chic” red blouse, wide-legged white pants and black Céline bag. As for her favorite player, Klein, who works in sales, calls Serena Williams “a role model for women.”

Federer forever

“White should always be worn to a tennis tournament,” says Maya Piascik, a 40-something Prada store director who pairs crisp white shorts with a silky blue blouse. “Roger Federer is my idol in many ways: in sports, in life and in fashion!”

Belle of the ball

American Ballet Theatre dancer Devon Teuscher, 28, sports a breezy summer dress and white sneakers, describing her style as “casual, comfortable and easy.” It’s also budget-friendly: The whole look cost less than $150.

What a match

Federer fan Jennifer Seshadri, 42, a former teacher and stay-at-home mom, styles a redand-white striped Zara dress with white Birkenstocks. “Stylewise, I like Serena [Williams] and [Caroline] Wozniacki. [Maria] Sharapova, too. But Federer is definitely my favorite.”
