- By JACKIE SALO

A full-grown formerr Ringling Bros. tiger busted out of a box truck transporting her throughh Georgia and turned ann Atlanta suburb into a hunting ground on Wednesday beforee the snarling beast was shot dead by cops, according too reports. The 6-year-old bigg cat, Suzy — who was being shipped from Florida to Tennessee — terrified motorists on I-75 near Stockbridge, Ga., as she prowled along the highway at around 6 a.m.

Cops flooded with 911 calls tracked Suzy (inset) to a nearby home, where she attacked a pet dog named Journey by jumping on its back.

Officers “started firing rounds and took it down and then gave me my dog back,” the dog’s owner, Brittney Speck, told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

It took most of the day for Georgia officials to figure out where Suzy came from and how she ended up on the loose.

The tiger was the responsibility of Feld Entertainment, owners of the former Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus.

But company officials didn’t realize she was missing until they got to their destination, ac cordi according to WXIA-TV.

“The truck had stopped in Georgia during the overnight hours and during that stop, the female Bengal tiger managed to escape unnoticed,” the Georgia Department of Natural Resources said in a statement.

Feld workers contacted police after seeing media reports about the chase.

Suzy, originally from Britain, was supposed to be flown to a circus in Germany after she reached Tennessee, where more than a dozen Ringling tigers were sent to a sanctuary after the final circus performance last May.

Officials said Suzy was cremated.

A Feld Entertainment rep said the company was investigating into how Suzy got loose in the first place.
