SERBY ’S CRYSTAL BALL

-

NFC: Odell Beckham Jr. and Brandon Marshall get their first playoff victories against Jameis Winston and the Bucs before a delirious MetLife crowd. No boat trip this time for Beckham as Ben McAdoo avenges last January’s playoff loss to mentor Mike McCarthy at Lambeau. Drew Brees wins a rubber match shootout with Matt Ryan but can’t outduel Aaron Rodgers at Lambeau. Beckham keeps his cool during a bone-crunching alley fight with Richard Sherman and the Legion of Boom, and takes a slant to the house from Eli Manning all the way to Minneapolis and Super Bowl LII.

AFC: Marcus Mariota outplays Joe Flacco while Deshaun Watson is overwhelmed by the Steel Curtain. Mariota cannot solve Bill Belichick and DC Matt Patricia in Foxborough and David Carr and Amari Cooper survive a shootout at the Black Hole with Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown as Marshawn Lynch helps keep Le’Veon Bell off the field. With snow falling in the AFC title game, Tom Brady doesn’t need The Tuck Rule and finds Chris Hogan with a gamewinning TD pass.

SUPER BOWL LII: ManningBrady III. McAdoo passes out Frazier the Lion T-shirts in the locker room before the game and Big Blue Deja Vu has Brady battered over and over by Jason Pierre-Paul and Olivier Vernon after Landon Collins sets the tone with a thunderous hit over the middle on Rob Gronkowski. Manning caps a game-winning, two-minute drive with a TD pass that Beckham one-hands with his eyes closed. Giants 20, Patriots 17.
