Lena & Lenny Twit for tat
Lena Dunham found herself in a bizarre Twitter war with former Met Lenny Dykstra on Thursday night, with the actress calling him “revolting” and “a stalker” and the ex-outfielder responding that she has “anger issues.”
The tiff started after Dunham, 31, declared, fresh from a trip to Citi Field, that she is “horny for baseball players.”
Dykstra, 54, responded, “DM me,” short for direct message.
Soon, Dykstra was invit- ing Dunham to view a video clip of his 1986 National League Championship Series home run against the Houston Astros, to “get the bloodflow going, doll.”
Dunham then tweeted to her 5.6 million followers, “I’m being simultaneously trolled & seduced by @LennyDykstra this day has gotten really f--king weird.”
Dykstra responded, “You know deep down you want to take a ride on the space shuttle.”
Dunham responded, “Do you just sit around asking your friends ‘what’s the least witty way I can revolt a woman?’ ”
When Dykstra tweeted that Dunham has “anger issues,” she answered, “It’s so true. I’m mad. Can I borrow your bat.”
Dykstra answered “Any time, my dear” and made a crude comment about bat sizes.
Dunham quipped, “Excited about my new stalker” and ended the exchange, “I’m already asleep, grandpa.”
