IRMA: Games returning to Florida

Games are making their way back to Florida after the destructio­n left by Hurricane Irma. The Buccaneers announced Tuesday they will play host to the Bears as scheduled Sunday at Raymond James Stadium. The Jaguars also will play at home this weekend against the Titans.

Sun Life Stadium, the home of the Dolphins and the University of Miami, was declared safe. In college football, No. 23 Tennessee and 25th-ranked Florida will play as scheduled Saturday in Gainesvill­e, Fla.

NFL: Cardinals place Johnson on IR

The Cardinals placed running back David Johnson, who is expected to miss two to three months after wrist surgery, on injured reserve and re-signed veteran running back Chris Johnson. Ravens running back Danny Woodhead likely will miss six to eight weeks with a hamstring injury, according to ESPN.

ETC.: Walder, PED expert, dead at 78

Long Island physician Gary Walder, an early authority on performanc­e-enhancing drugs, died. He was 78 and had been dealing with the effects of Multiple System Atrophy, a rare neurodegen­erative disorder, for more than five years. The Lakers announced they will retire both of Kobe Bryant’s numbers (24, 8) in a ceremony Dec. 18.
