QT to marry a cutie
QUENTIN Tarantino and his fiancée, Daniella Pick, celebrated their engagement at a starry party in New York, hosted by movie mogul Harvey Weinstein. The party became a “Pulp Fiction” reunion, as guests who came to toast the iconic writer-director and his beautiful bride-to-be included Uma Thurman, Samuel L. Jackson and Bruce Willis. Also at Saturday’s intimate party at Socialista in Soho were actors Harvey Keitel and Diane Kruger. Tarantino, 54, first met stunning Israeli singer, actress and model Pick, 33, when he was promoting his 2009 movie “Inglourious Basterds” in Israel. They reconnected in 2016, and he proposed in Los Angeles this summer. Weinstein, who hosted the party with his Marchesa designer wife, Georgina Chapman, told Tarantino during the toast, “When you make a movie like ‘Inglourious Basterds,’ not only did you get an Oscar but you got Daniella.” His movie mogul brother, Bob Weinstein, added, “I’ve known Quentin for 26 years. In 26 years, Quentin has never once returned my phone call. He met Daniella and finally gave me a call, and I’m sure she was sitting right next to him, telling him to call me.” Tarantino muse Thurman also gave a moving toast, saying how generous he had been to her, and how delighted she was to see him happy with Pick. Keitel also spoke, saying of acting in “Reservoir Dogs,” “Pulp Fiction” and “From Dusk Till Dawn,” “I feel like I can’t get rid of Quentin.” Harvey and Bob gave the couple a Leica 35mm camera and an engraved camera case, reading “Mr. and Mrs. Tarantino,” with plenty of 35mm film, and Chapman also gave Pick a diamond “T bracelet” from Tiffany & Co. A source added that the Tarantino wedding is expected to take place next year, and while no location has yet been decided on, it would have to be somewhere sweepingly cinematic or uniquely eccentric for Tarantino.
