Daddy's tearful testimony

From altar to pregnant slay agony

- By GEORGETT ROBERTS and EMILY SAUL

The fiancé of a pregnant woman killed on her wedding day by a “friend” who cut their unborn child out of her, took the stand Wednesday, tearfully recalling how his beloved never arrived for their nuptials — and then, adding to the horror, the hospital refused to believe the newborn was his. Patrick Bradley sobbed as 22-month-old Jenasis, clad in pink, looked on from the gallery while “dada” testified against her mom’s accused killer, Ashleigh Wade. The 25-year-old dad continued to cry as he described waiting at the courthouse for fiancée Angelikque Sutton in November 2015. As Bradley frantically tried to call Sutton and find out why she’d stood him up, she was bleeding to death on Wade’s living-room floor. His father finally reached Sutton’s parents, who said their daughter had been butchered. “I fainted,” Bradley sobbed in court. “My mother was screaming.” He then rushed to the hospital but was told by a nurse that the child wasn’t his. “[The hospital] kept saying, ‘This is not your daughter, the father was here,’ ” he testified. That’s because Wade’s boyfriend had stumbled upon the carnage and accompanied the newborn to the hospital, deceived by the ac- cused killer into believing the baby was his own.

“That’s my baby,” Bradley remembered insisting during testimony in the first-degree murder trial.

Bradley said he was eventually forced to go to the local police station house and get a letter stating he was the child’s father before he could see his beautiful baby.

Bradley and Sutton were to wed that day at a Bronx courthouse, but she stopped off at Wade’s on the way.

Wade — who had been feigning pregnancy for months on social media and in real life — then attacked Sutton with a paring knife, slitting her throat so she couldn’t scream before cutting out her uterus, authorities have said.

The accused murderer was unable to meet Bradley’s eyes as he took the stand against her Wednesday in Bronx criminal court.

Wade’s ex, Angel Praylow, previously told jurors that he’d accompanied the newborn to the hospital because Wade had told him Jenasis was his.

Jurors were shown a photo of the baby, hooked up to tubes, shortly after her jarring birth. “That’s my daughter,” Bradley said proudly of his miracle child.
