‘Sex slaves’ get Epstein’s $5.5M

- By LIA EUSTACHEWICH

Billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein reportedly paid $5.5 million to settle with three of the more than two dozen teens who sued him.

Epstein — who was accused of recruiting dozens of underage girls as sex slaves for his wealthy pals — paid $1 million to L.M., $2 million to E.W. and $2.5 million to Jane Doe, the Palm Beach (Fla.) Post reported on Wednesday.

The settlement details were disclosed as part of a feud between Epstein and lawyers Bradley Edwards and Scott Rothstein.

Rothstein is serving a 50-year sentence for running a $1.2 billion Ponzi scheme.

Epstein had sued the Florida attorneys, claiming Edwards — the lawyer who filed suits on behalf of some of Epstein’s accusers — fabricated the sex-slave allegations in or- der to perpetuate Rothstein’s Ponzi scheme.

Epstein dropped the suit against Edwards and Rothstein in 2012, only to see Edwards sue him for malicious prosecution.

Epstein’s lawyer, Tonja Haddad Coleman, asked a judge Tuesday for a postponement of the trial, set for December, saying she hasn’t been able to reach Epstein since Hurricane Irma ravaged his estate on his private island in the US Virgin Islands.

Palm Beach County Cir- cuit Judge Donald Hafele denied the request, citing Epstein’s wealth and his private jet.

Epstein, 64, pleaded guilty in 2008 to soliciting prostitution from a 14year-old as part of a plea deal, and served 13 months of an 18-month prison sentence.

In May, one of his alleged sex slaves, Virginia Giuffre, settled her defamation suit against Epstein’s former girlfriend, British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell.

Giuffre claimed Epstein pimped her out to highprofile clients including Prince Andrew. Maxwell served as a madam, procuring teenagers for Epstein, Giuffre alleged.

Giuffre, who went by the name Virginia Roberts, also alleged she saw former President Bill Clinton in 2002 at Epstein’s “orgy island” in the Virgin Islands, where group sex was a “regular occurrence.”
