For sale: NYC pads with the city’s most iconic views

- By ADAM BONISLAWSKI

AS the omnipresent crush of tourists proves, New York is not lacking in sights to see. The Empire State Building, the Brooklyn Bridge, the Statue of Liberty — when it comes to landmarks, the city is loaded. But what if you could take them in . . . without having to go out? Here are some apartments that offer their owners an eyeful. “Unbelievable helicopter views” — or so boasts the listing for this aerie in Tribeca’s Herzog & de Meuron-designed Jenga tower. And, well, it ain’t lying. The “expansive” penthouse apartment with “soaring” 14-foot ceilings at 56 Leonard offers vistas of pretty much the entire city, but it’s the view of Lower Manhattan’s One World Trade Center from the unit’s master bedroom and adjoining terrace that has us particularly jazzed. What fabulous fenestration! This duplex penthouse on Olympic Tower’s 50th and 51st floors features — count ’em — 28 floor-to-ceiling windows. So where should you look first? At St. Patrick’s Cathedral just across the street? At the art deco-style top of Rockefeller Center? It’s right there, too. How about the Empire State Building? You can see that famed high-rise and more out of the south-facing eat-in kitchen and many other rooms. Even the shower comes with skyline views.
