Season over for Bengals’ TE

Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert has decided to have season-ending back surgery, according to reports. This is the third surgery Eifert, who played two games this season, has had on his back and will keep him out four to six months.

Cowboys linebacker Damien Wilson won’t be prosecuted in McKinny, Texas over a Fourth of July parking dispute in which he was accused of brandishin­g a rifle and threatenin­g tailgaters outside a soccer venue. A Collin County grand jury declined to indict Wilson, who was arrested on two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The Vikings have five starters with injury concerns going into the game against the Packers. Quarterbac­k Sam Bradford (knee), wide receiver Stefon Diggs (groin), strong safety Andrew Sendejo (groin), left guard Nick Easton (calf ) and defensive tackle Tom Johnson (knee) were all held out of practice Wednesday.

Andrew Luck will be back on the Colts’ practice field Thursday and Saturday this week, coach Chuck Pagano said. Pagano described Luck’s progressio­n as “coming along good.”

A lawsuit filed in Minneapoli­s accuses former Vikings running back

Adrian Peterson, who was traded from the Saints to the Cardinals on Tuesday, of defaulting on a $2.4 million loan. Crown Bank says Peterson took out the loan in May 2016 and defaulted five months later.
