OK, I'll stop getting high

Daredevil's plea vow

- By REBECCA ROSENBERG

The young daredevil who can’t seem to stop climbing Manhattan high-rises was sentenced Tuesday to three years’ probation for his latest deathdefying stunts — and has promised to turn over a new leaf.

Justin Casquejo, 20, said he looks forward to no longer running afoul of the law.

“I’m really just looking forward to reaching my full potential,” he said, vowing that he wouldn’t illegally scale a building again. “Being young and ignorant, I didn’t understand the reckless effects of my actions.”

The Weehawken, NJ, thrill seeker struck a plea deal with Manhattan prosecutors in September that let him dodge jail for climbing two skyscrapers.

The ascents, when Casquejo was 19, led to his fifth arrest for dangling from city buildings (and documenting the jawdropping feats on Instagram).

“That was always the point, sharing the beauty,” he said as he left Manhattan Criminal Court with his mother.

As part of the deal, Casquejo had previously copped to second-degree trespass for scaling a 52-story luxury condo at 240 E. 38th St. in June.

He also pleaded guilty to BASE jumping for dangling from a spire atop of 70 Pine St. in 2016. He was captured on video precariously hanging from the roof ’s parapet, according to the complaint.

In 2014, when Casquejo was just 16, he breached a fence at Ground Zero and climbed the then-unopened One World Trade Center.

Defense lawyer Jeremy Saland said Casquejo has put the dangerous antics behind him.

“My client is grateful this chapter in his life is now closed,” Saland said. “An amazing, talented young man, Mr. Casquejo looks forward to pursuing other means to share his art and passion.”
