Baldwin says Melania is a fan

-

MELANIA Trump definitely doesn’t enjoy the occasional giggle at the expense of her husband. Actor Alec Baldwin hilariously claims that word has reached him that the first lady “loves” his famously oafish impersonation of President Donald Trump on “Saturday Night Live.” But Melania’s camp has denied Baldwin’s claims in the strongest possible terms. Speaking on Monday’s episode of WNYC’s “The Brian Lehrer Show,” the 59-year-old actor claimed that FLOTUS is a fan of both the NBC late-night show and Baldwin’s impression. “Someone told me, who is friends with someone in the White House, or formerly in the White House, that Melania Trump loves ‘ SNL’ and she loves my impersonation,” said Baldwin in a spectacularly vague statement. But Melania’s spokesperson Stephanie Grisham — appalled by the mere suggestion that Melania thinks Baldwin’s impersonation of President Trump as a knuckle-dragging nitwit is absolutely bang on the money — told Page Six, “That is not true, which is why Mr. Baldwin has no actual names to go with his bizarre assertion.” Back in December, the president tweeted: “Just tried watching Saturday Night Live — unwatchable! Totally biased, not funny and the Baldwin impersonation just can’t get any worse. Sad.” We suspect that Melania isn’t that much of a fan of Cecily Strong’s “SNL” impression of her as a phonetically challenged victim who is desperate to escape the White House.
