Speakeasy and carry a juicy burger at Soho lodge

Michelin-starred chef Wayne Nish, formerly of March, is launching a burger bar above Black Lodge speakeasy in Soho.

The restaurant, BL Burger Bar, is in a revamped space above the Black Lodge. Both are owned by Jacques Ouari.

The bar will feature cocktails by mixologist Miguel Aranda, formerly of Botanic Lab. Guests choose their patties — beef, chicken, fish or lamb — and their preferences. There are also five specific options, which include a bacon cheeseburger platter with bacon, tomatoes, cheddar, blue cheese or Gruyère, romaine lettuce and pickled red onions. Other options include smoked salmon and foie gras platters.

Chef Jose Luis Chavez is opening a second Mission Ceviche at the Canal Street Market this month.

The 220-square-foot space will have a standing counter, no seats and takeout service.

It follows the opening of Mission Ceviche in fall 2016 at the Gansevoort Market.

Outposts in the financial district and Times Square are next, sources tell Side Dish.

Chavez will also be participating in a Peruvian culinary fundraiser, Tour Paraqay, on Nov. 27 at Bagatelle.

Top chefs appearing will include Mitsuharu Tsumura of Maido in Lima, Peru, which has just been named best restaurant at Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants Awards. The event raises money for education and training in Cusco, an impoverished region in Peru. A similar fundraiser will take place in Miami.

WE HEAR ... that celebrity chef Sam Talbot, owner of Pretty Southern restaurant in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, who has Type 1 diabetes, co- hosted a benefit with his Beyond Type 1 Foundation cofounders Nick Jonas and Sarah Lucas at the Giorgio Armani flagship store on Fifth Avenue on Nov. 2 to support the charity, as November is National Diabetes Month ... and that a very trim chef Michael White hosted a white truffle charity fest at Ai Fiori at Langham Place on Nov. 11.
