2THE CROWN Friday, Netflix SEASON PREMIERE.

Queen Elizabeth II ( Claire Foy) has much to fret about. Her husband, Prince Philip ( Matt Smith), may have been fooling around while traveling the world on her behalf. Prime Minister Anthony Eden ( Jeremy Northam) has made a number of hasty decisions that may not benefit the monarchy. And the Queen’s sister, Princess Margaret ( Vanessa Kirby), has taken to the bottle, now that the Crown has forbidden her to marry the man of her dreams. Sad!

3THE CAROL BURNETT 50TH ANNIVERSAR­Y SPECIAL

Sunday, 8 p.m., CBS To celebrate the golden anniversar­y of her variety show, Carol Burnett (above) revisits her glory days. Among the well-wishers: former co-stars Tim Conway and Vicki Lawrence. Some famous fans also join the party: Maya Rudolph, Amy Poehler and Jay Leno.

Wednesday, 9 p.m., The CW Everything is shiny and bright at the annual tree lighting, but the Carrington­s struggle with some ghosts. Primate lover Dian Fossey (above) fought the Rwandan people who wanted to poach the primates and was murdered for her efforts. Sigourney

Weaver, who portrayed Fossey in the 1988 film “Gorillas in the Mist,” reads from her writings in this investigat­ion into her death at age 53.

Tuesday 9 p.m., NBC

In this week’s period-costume-friendly episode, Will ( Eric McCormack), Grace ( Debra Messing, above) Karen ( Megan Mullally) and Jack ( Sean Hayes) wish they could have experience­d Christmas in ye old New York, but realize the past was not quite as romantic — or open to diversity — as they pictured it.
