Met’s Levine: ‘Unfounded’

Metropolitan Opera conductor James Levine has broken his silence about sexual-abuse allegations made against him by three young men.

“As understandably troubling as the accusations noted in recent press accounts are, they are unfounded,” Levine wrote in a statement Thursday to The New York Times.

The Met suspended him Sunday night pending the results of its investigation.
