‘Conflict’ in NYC

CAREY Mulligan and Marcus Mumford moved their annual children-in-conflict charity holiday dinner to New York this year from London. At the couple’s “Winter Wassail,” Sam Smith performed with Mumford, Blake Mills, Brandi Carlile and T Bone Burnett. Justin Long emceed, and guests included Mike Myers, Sienna Miller, John Oliver, Paul DanoandZoeKazan. Thedinner, which raised $1.5 million, is an outgrowth of the couple’s support of War Child, which Mulligan began working with five years ago. She explained: “Their focus is on child protection, education and livelihoods in some of the most dangerous conflict zones in the world.”
